EMS rushed more than a dozen people to Capital Health Trauma Center after gunfire erupted in Trenton causing injuries.
It happened at the Art All Night Event that was held at the Roebling Market in the 600 block of South Clinton Avenue Avenue just before 2:50 a.m.
Police said at least one gunman arrived at the event and for an unknown reason began to open fire striking people at the crowded event.
Eva Zoll, who said she attended the event, described some of the circumstances as dire turmoil. "I am 71-yrs-old and stopped in to check on my artwork on display. I heard shots behind me and turned, and the crowd began to stampede towards me. Thank the Lord I can run. The people were running for their lives. My heart is still shaking, but I am safe. My prayers for those who were shot. OMG."
According to a statement released by Sara Bagner, she described the event as chaos. "The event turned so sad so quickly. It was just pure mayhem we were running for our lives. First time really enjoying a night out with a friend and the night ends in chaos".
Police and EMS rushed to the scene and began to assist some of the injured that ranged from minor injuries to life-threatening according to reports.
There were 16 victims rushed to the hospital suffering gunshot wounds with one male fatally succumbing according to reports. Officials updated at 9:22am that four additional victims suffered from non-gunshot wounds.
The deceased is one of the suspects police said.’
Police are investigating the motive for the shooting.

THIS IS A STATEMENT RELASED BY EVENT OFFICIALS: “It’s with great regret that we announce that the remainder of Art All Night has been cancelled due to a tragic incident that occurred overnight.
We’re still processing much of this and we don’t have many answers at this time but please know that our staff, our volunteers, our artists and musicians all seem to be healthy and accounted for. Our sincere, heartfelt sympathies are with those who were injured.
We know there are a lot of questions and a lot of speculation at this point. We’re still trying ourselves to piece this entire situation together. What we do know is that we are currently unable to release any submitted artwork that is currently inside the Roebling Wire Works building. That being said, we promise you we’ll be in touch as soon as we have more questions we information on this. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience during this incredibly difficult and confusing situation.
We’re very shocked. We’re deeply saddened. Our hearts ache and our eyes are blurry but our dedication and resolve to building a better Trenton through community, creativity and inspiration will never fade. Not tonight. Not ever.”
