New Jersey State Police are looking into the cause of a violent crash that claimed the lives of three victims on a highway this morning in Hamilton Township.
NJ State Police said the crash was reported at 9:08 p.m. on the Atlantic City Expressway eastbound at the Egg Harbor Toll Plaza in the area of milepost 17.6 in Hamilton Twp.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda passenger car struck the tolls and busted into flames.
NJ State Police said the driver Reachthon Khiev, 31, and Reachsieh Khiev, 27, Manchester, NH, were killed.
According to police Keotepie Khiev, 14, Atlantic City, also suffered fatal injuries.
Police say a fourth passenger (a 12-years-old girl) was taken to an area hospital with moderate non-life-threatening injuries.
An attendant working at the toll plaza sustained moderate non-life-threatening injuries due to the crash.
The eastbound lanes of the ACE were closed for approximately 7 hours, and traffic was detoured around the crash scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
