Passaic County authorities reported that at approximately 3:00 a.m. on August 20, members of the Paterson Police were dispatched to the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Putnam Streeon a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, a 18- year-old male Paterson resident who had sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound and a 12-year-old juvenile who was grazed by a stray bullet in a residence.
The 18-year-old victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.
The juvenile victim was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
