Newark and surrounding North Jersey regions are waking up to unusually mild temperatures, which will bring an unexpected touch of spring to early November.Starting the day at 61 degrees with partly cloudy skies, today promises to be exceptionally warm, reaching highs that could soar into the upper 80s by afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, the sun will burn off morning clouds as the day progresses, and temperatures are expected to hit a high near 80.
Winds will be moderate, coming from the southwest at 7 to 15 mph, keeping the air pleasant for outdoor activities.
Tonight, temperatures will remain mild, with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 59, offering another break from the typical November chill.
