Police in Union are on the search for the driver of a car that struck a child in Union then drove away Wednesday evening.
Police say the child is in critical condition after The vehicle struck them in the area of Galloping Hill Road and Forest Drive at around 8:00 p.m.
EMS rushed the boy to University Hospital in Newark where he remains in ICU according police.
A white or silver van was traveling north on Galloping Hill Road when it collided with the young pedestrian
The incident remains under investigation.
