Union firefighters made fast work out of a stubborn fire that ignited the porch of a home early this morning.
Fire broke out under an enclosed porch of a two and a half story house located in the 600 block of Thoreau Terrace at approximately 5 a.m.
Crews stretched two lines and had the fast-moving fire under control at approximately 5:15 a.m. with an extensive overhaul underway.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by The Union Fire Department.
There were no injuries reported.
