Union County authorities are investigating a stabbing incident that left a person severely injured in a park in Roselle Wednesday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the park to investigate reports of an injured person around 9:05 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering a laceration to their neck after a suspect stabbed them and fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark for treatment, and their injuries were not confirmed.
Police have not released the motive for the attack at this time.
