Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced that on Wednesday, September 29, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit arrested Charles D. Rodriguez, 51, of Union City, on charges that he engaged in explicit contact with a young girl when she was between the ages of six and nine. The victim, also a Union City resident, is now 13-years-old.
According to Prosecutor Suarez, Rodriguez has been charged with Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Prosecutor Suarez stated that Rodriguez was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City just before 7 p.m. without incident.
