The Essex County Prosecutor's Office were on the scene of a shooting that left one person dead in a neighborhood in Newark this morning.
Police and EMS were called to the 300 block of South 11th Street before 3:30 a.m. where they arrived to find the victim unconscious and unresponsive at that location according to reports.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot multiple times reports said.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
