An unconscious male found on a street in the city's Ironbound section placed Newark Emergency responders on the scene a short time ago.
Police and EMS were called to the area of Madison and Ferry Street at around 6:20 a.m. for an injured person.
Crews arrived to find an unconscious male victim lying on the ground at that location.
EMS performed life saving CPR on the man before he was rushed to University Hospital in an unknown condition.
The incident is not being reported as suspicious at this time.
Police are investigating.
