EMS transported two women to University Hospital suffering non-fatal injuries after a collision that occurred in Newark's South Ward Saturday.
The early morning collision happened shortly before 3:55 a.m. in the area of Murray Street and Sherman Avenue.
Police say the victims' car slammed into a pole after another vehicle crashed into them at that location.
According to police, the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
