Two Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $10K Sold in Union County

Trenton New Jersey

Two tickets, sold in Union County, matched the four white balls and the Powerball in Saturday’s $80 Million Lottery Jackpot drawing.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, June 20 drawing were: 09, 10, 16, 20 and 57. The Red Power Ball number was 15. The Multiplier number was 02. In addition to the Florida winning ticket sold, two New Jersey tickets matched the four white balls and the Powerball to win the $10,000 third prize. Both of those tickets were sold in Union County.

One of the winning tickets was sold at O’Johnnies Variety, located at 170 Westfield Ave., Clark and the other was sold at Welsh Farms Speedy Mart, located at 160 Mountain Ave., Springfield.

Additionally, there were 17,176 New Jersey players who took home $92,120 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200 from that draw, according to Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director. “New Jersey residents win every time lottery tickets are purchased,” Hedinger continued.

From this five-roll Powerball win, Lottery beneficiaries will receive an estimated $2.2 million in contributions in support of education and institutions. Since its inception in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery (NJLottery.com) has contributed more than $23 billion to the State in support of its beneficiaries.

Among its beneficiaries are: veterans homes, colleges and universities, school nutrition programs, homes for the developmentally disabled, higher education scholarship programs and the Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf. “Congratulations to all of these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets and to the retailers who sold them,” said Hedinger. “For selling all of the winning tickets, these retailers have become many more of the Lottery’s ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
