Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect wanted for a carjacking that occurred on a busy road in the city Wednesday.
Officers responded to reports of a carjacking in the 1400 block of McCarter Highway around 1:37 a.m.
Police on scene confirmed that a Dodge Ram witha NJ license plate numbers V96-PAB was taken by two suspects.
Authorities say the suspects fled the scene traveling westbound and were last observed in the area of Park Avenue and Clifton Avenue.
A blue BMW accompanied the vehicle X5.
No serious injuries were reported.
