There is an active search for two suspects who are responsible for an armed robbery of a couple that happened a short time ago in Newark.
The suspects have been describe as two black males who are around the ages of 16-20 years-old
The first suspect is about 5'4" tall and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants while the other suspect is about 5'11" tall and was wearing a black hoodie and blue khaki pants
The suspects approached the couple at around 1:30 p.m. in the teens block of Richmond Street armed with a gun when they ordered personal possessions.
The couple handed over several items before the suspects fled the scene on foot while dropping a weapon a short distance away.
Police setup a crime scene at that location for the recovered weapon.
The suspects were responsible for at least one other robbery or attempted robbery nearby.
The couple were no physically injured.
