Newark Police are continuing to investigate two incidents where gunfire rang out in the city on Sunday night and Monday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to 90's block of Isabella Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired.
Units arrived at the scene to find just under a dozen shell casings and a house struck by bullets at that location.
Police canvassed the area for injured victims but were unsuccessful in finding anyone struck by gunfire reports said.
East Orange Police contacted Newark Police when they located a vehicle with multiple bullet holes in the 80's block of South Grove Street.
Authorities are attempting to determine if the vehicle was involved in the Isabella Avenue shooting incident.
In an early Sunday morning shooting in Newark, police were called to the intersection of Hayes Street and 15th Avenue after gunfire rang out in the area at around 5 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene to find shell casings and a person suffering injuries at that location.
EMS were called to the scene to evaluate the victim who did not appear to have a gunshot injury according to reports.
Police set up a crime scene in the area where they collected evidence to find a possible motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests reported by police.
