Two Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle in Newark

Newark

Rescue crews are on the scene for two pedestrians that were struck by a vehicle at a location in the city.

First responders arrived to the 100 block of Bergen Street shortly before 6:20 where they located two people injured after being struck by a vehicle.

The victims were transported the short distance to University Hospital where their injuries were not reported to be life threatening at this time.

This is the third pedestrian strike that has occurred on that stretch of Bergen Street in about 72-hours.

Friday's pedestrian strike resulted in the death of 45-year-old April Townsend authorities.

Police are investigating.
