In the city of Paterson, a cockfighting ring in the basement of a bar was discovered that led to the arrest of two men.
Authorities uncovered cockfighting apparel along with gambling records, and 21 grams of crack and eight Endocet pills in a jacket at the Ranchi City Bar & Liquor.
The bar's owner, Felix Grullon, 50, and bartentender, Cesar Toribio, 43, both of Paterson we arrested.
An amount of $1,321 were confiscated from Grullon, and he will face charges that include maintaining a gambling resort and promoting gambling.
Toribio faces similar gambling charges and his home was searched by authorities where a .45 caliber gun causing him to face additional charges that include possessing a handgun without a permit, possessing cocaine with intent to distribute.
