Authorities in Hudson County announced that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force has filed additional charges against two defendants in connection with a Bayonne narcotics investigation.
Officials stated that Giovanny Alfaro, 29, and Jamie Juarez, 23, both of Bayonne, are charged with multiple charges, including:
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (cocaine)
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (cocaine) within 1,000 Feet of a School
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (cocaine) within 500 Feet of Public Property
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (marijuana)
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (marijuana) within 1,000 Feet of a School
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (marijuana) within 500 Feet of Public Property
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Two counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Oxycodone)
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Oxycodone) within 1,000 Feet of a School
-Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Oxycodone) within 500 Feet of Public Property
The defendants were previously arrested on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, after numerous transactions were conducted with an undercover officer, which included the sale of illegal narcotics and an illegal firearm, officials said.
According to officials, the additional charges were filed following a court-authorized search of vehicles seized at the time of the defendants’ initial arrests.
An additional quantity of cocaine, marijuana, and Oxycodone were recovered, officials say.
