Bloomfield police have detained two 16-year-old males from Newark in connection with a vehicle break-in on Cottage Place. 
On February 16th, Bloomfield officers responded to a report of theft from a vehicle and, after reviewing surveillance footage, observed two individuals rummaging through the victim’s car.
Acting on the video evidence and witness descriptions, officers were able to locate and detain the two juveniles matching the suspects' descriptions.
The teens were taken to Bloomfield Police Headquarters and later released into the custody of their parents.
Juvenile charges are currently pending.
Authorities are continuing to investigate whether the juveniles may be linked to other recent vehicle break-ins in Bloomfield.
Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
