Authorities in Middlesex County announced that two men from New Brunswick have been arrested and charged in connection with the homicide that occurred on November 6, 2024, in the City of New Brunswick.Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone stated that on Wednesday, November 6, at approximately 10:55 p.m., the New Brunswick Police Department received a 911 call reporting that someone was bleeding profusely on Seaman Street.
Upon their arrival, authorities located Gonzalo Napoleon Quispez-Parades, 23, of New Brunswick, unconscious on the sidewalk with a large laceration to his abdomen, New Brunswick Police said.
According to Middlesex County officials, Quispez-Parades was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said that an initial investigation led by Detective Sean Freeman of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Stephanie Redline of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Quispez-Parades had an altercation with Lorenzo Roman-Tecu, 33, of New Brunswick, and Eustaquio Garcia Cuxum, 19, of New Brunswick.
During the course of the altercation, Quispez-Parades sustained a fatal injury, Middlesex County officials say.
Middlesex County authorities stated that on November 7, Lorenzo Roman-Tecu, 33, of New Brunswick, was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree Murder, while on November 8, Eustaquio Garcia Cuxum, 19, of New Brunswick, was arrested and charged with first-degree Murder.Both Roman-Tecu and Garcia Cuxum are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending the results of their Pre-trial detention hearing, New Brunswick Police said.
