Two women from Middlesex County have been charged in separate cases involving voter fraud Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported Friday.
Ms. Lori Mulligan, 58, of Parlin, faces charges for allegedly voting by mail on behalf of a deceased family member, a third-degree offense.
In a separate case, Ms. Katherine Fokas, 57, of Monroe, is accused of submitting a forged mail-in ballot application in the name of a deceased family member.
Fokas faces additional charges of impersonation and forgery, as well as third-degree crimes.
While MCPO officials did not release Fokas’ political affiliation, NJ Globe Media said that she is a registered Republican.
The investigations began following a tip from the Middlesex County Board of Elections.
Authorities are continuing their inquiries, and anyone with further information is encouraged to contact Detective Gregory MacDonald at the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-3447.
