A shooting incident in Paterson left two men with non-fatal gunshot wounds, prompting an immediate response from local law enforcement.
The Passaic County Prosecutor, Camelia M. Valdes, has confirmed the incident, stating that police were dispatched to the intersection of 20th Avenue and East 33rd Street around 2:17 a.m. following reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, officers from the Paterson Police Department discovered two victims: a 27-year-old male and a 43-year-old male, both residents of Paterson.
The victims were swiftly transported to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson for medical attention.
Their injuries, while serious, were reported as non-life-threatening.
Authorities were able to identify a potential crime scene in the vicinity of the shooting.
However, the details surrounding the incident remain sparse as the investigation is still in its preliminary stages.The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has described the investigation as "active and ongoing," with further information to be disclosed as it becomes available.
