Trenton Police took two teenage boys into custody and charged them with shooting a man last week.
Trenton Police said on Monday, December 6, at approximately 7:50 p.m., units responded to 1010 Liberty Street on a ShotSpotter activation for ten (10) rounds.
According to Trenton police officials, officers arrived and found the victim, who suffered several gunshot wounds to his lower extremities.
After conducting the investigation, Trenton Police said its Shooting Response Team detectives were able to identify two juvenile offenders as the suspects.
Based on the information gathered, officials said Detective Furman issued arrest warrants for Criminal Attempt Homicide and Weapons offenses for the boys.
According to police, on December 8, police located and then apprehended the boys at an undisclosed location in Trenton.
Police say the teens were transported to the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center while detectives continued investigating the attack's motive.
