Two lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $1,548,770 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Wednesday, March 8 drawing.
Each ticket is worth $774,385. The winning numbers were: 05, 11, 12, 13 and 29 and the XTRA number was: 02.
Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
* Hudson County: Aivan Liquors, 112 Tonnelle Ave., Jersey City; and
* Mercer County: Lawrenceville Exxon, 2890 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville.
Executive Director Carole Hedinger said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Aivan Liquors & Lawrenceville Exxon.
The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”
Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced that there were 1,325,549 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn.
For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 283 ticketholders won $405 each and 40 others won $810 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 10,415 ticketholders won $12 each and 1,417 others won $24 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly, 14,616 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
