Authorities in Paterson are looking into a car crash that sent to people to the hospital on Wednesday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 18th Avenue and East 24th Street after they received reports of a crash with a vehicle overturned just before 9:30 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found two severely damaged vehicles with trapped occupants at that location.
Firefighters and rescue crews were able to extricate both occupants then hand them over to EMS who transported the pair to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, one of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
