Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries in an early morning shooting in Paterson Sunday.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Essex and Straight streets around 4:40 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering a bullet wound in his leg at that location.
The injured were rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment while police canvassed the neighborhood for additional victims and possible suspects.
At approximately 5:25 a.m., a second gunshot victim entered Hackensack Medical Center suffering injuries. Police have not immediately confirmed if this victim is connect with the Straight Street crime scene.
Police say no arrests were reported.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
