Police in Linden are investigating a car crash that injured two victims in the city early Sunday.
Officers temporarily closed off the intersection of East Elizabeth and Park avenues at 11:30 a.m. after they received reports of a crash with injuries reported at that location.
Emergency responder arrived at the scene and found two badly damaged vehicle with both drivers suffering injuries according to reports.
EMS transported the victims to University Hospital in Newark for treatment. One of the drivers suffered life-threatening injuries reports said.
Police reopened Park Avenue at approximately 2:40 p.m. according to officials.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
