Bergen County authorities are investigating an incident in which two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Palisades Park on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Highland Avenue and West Edsall Boulevard.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find two senior individuals suffering from serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle.
Both victims were quickly transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where they remain hospitalized.
Details about the cause of the accident are still under investigation.
Authorities have not released further information at this time, but updates will be provided as they become available.
