A 2-alarm fire that broke out early this morning in the city fatally injured two people.
Firefighters arrived to the 2-story house located at 523 Union Ave. where heavy fire tore through the structure at around 4:40 a.m.
One person was pulled from the house dead shortly before 5:30 a.m. as heavy fire (that was believed to be gas fed) extended to at least one other house. A second victim was found dead in the house at around 6:45 a.m.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour and a half.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office were on the scene for the investigation.
