A two-car crash that sent victims to the hospital overnight in East Orange has police investigating.
The crash happened just before midnight in the vicinity of North Maple Avenue and Wiliams Street where emergency responders arrived at the scene and found a badly damaged vehicle with at least one trapped occupant inside.
University Hospital rescue crews were able to successfully extricate the victim from the vehicle before handing them over to EMS for the transport to University Hospital.
There were several other victims suffering non-life threatening injuries according to preliminary reports.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
