Two men from the Bronx, New York, have been arrested and indicted in connection with a string of armed robberies that spanned several municipalities across Bergen County.
The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Raekwon King and 22-year-old Karnel Miller-Wright, face serious charges stemming from a months-long investigation into multiple violent incidents targeting residents in Fort Lee, Englewood, Hackensack, and Paramus.

According to information released by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the coordinated investigation was led by Prosecutor Mark Musella and Chief Matthew Finck, with support from various local police departments.
Authorities allege the two suspects carried out a series of robberies using firearms and disguises, fleeing scenes in getaway vehicles before law enforcement could arrive.
One such incident occurred on August 5, 2024, around 5:00 a.m. in Fort Lee. A resident returning to their high-rise apartment on Park Avenue was approached by two masked men, one armed with a gun, who stole the victim’s jewelry and cash before escaping in a silver Mercedes-Benz.
This triggered the involvement of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Special Investigations Squad alongside Fort Lee Police.
According to Bergen County officials, similar incidents followed over the next two months.
On September 5, police in Englewood responded to an armed robbery at a gas station on Route 4, where a customer was held at gunpoint and forced to hand over a Rolex watch and cash.
Just a week later, a victim in Hackensack narrowly escaped harm after a gunman shattered his vehicle window during a botched robbery attempt in a parking garage.
Then, on October 7, a Paramus resident was confronted by an armed suspect in his driveway after returning from New York City.
The suspect fled when the victim called for help.
Through collaboration with law enforcement agencies in the affected towns, investigators identified King and Miller-Wright as the perpetrators.
On October 8, detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office and members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force arrested Miller-Wright in the Bronx. He was extradited to Bergen County on October 17 and remains in custody at the Bergen County Jail pending trial.

King was apprehended days later, on October 14, after a brief foot chase. He had attempted to evade capture by leaping from a motel window in the Bronx.
He was taken into custody by the New York City Department of Corrections and is being held at Rikers Island, awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
