Police in Newark took two suspects into custody and confiscated a weapon in a neighborhood in the city's SoutWard Friday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police officers requested a crime scene in the 100 block of Seymour Avenue - near Clinton Avenue- after they arrested to suspects who possessed a weapon shortly before 2:30 a.m.
Several calls to police regarding drug activity in the neighborhood had officials investigate the South Ward community, which resulted in the arrest of the unidentified men according to police.
There were no injuries reported and the incident remains under investigation by Newark Police.
