Two-Alarm Paterson Fire Displaces Eight

An early morning two-alarm fire tore through a mixed-dwelling apartment building that displaced as many as eight residents.

Firefighters responded to Bridge Street at approximately 5:18 a.m. for a report of a fast moving fire.

No occupants were physically hurt but two firefighters were treated at the scene with minor injuries.

The fire was placed under control in about an hour and a half.

The Red Cross is working with assisting the two families displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
