Newark and Maplewood firefighters are assisting Irvington Township battle a fire that’s ripping through a house at this time.
Officials say the two-alarm blaze ignited in a house at 39 block of Durand Place at around 9:35 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, they observed thick smoke and heavy flames engulfing a three-story wood-frame house at that location.
Crews stretched multiple lines to attack the blaze from all sizes and made efforts stop extensions to neighboring homes.
As of 10:16 a.m., heavy fire continued to exist in parts of the house but a preliminary search indicated no trapped occupants
There are no serious injuries reported at this time and all firefighters have been accounted for.
