Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director, announced that there were two New Jersey tickets sold that matched the five white balls drawn winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize for the Friday, May 19 drawing.
If those tickets had been purchased with the Megaplier option, it would have multiplied the prize to $3,000,000.
The tickets were sold at Waldwick Wine Spirits II, 23 Wyckoff Ave., Waldwick in Bergen County and Marina Stationers, 512 Van Houten Ave., Passaic in Passaic County.
The winning numbers for the Friday, May 19 drawing were: 01, 04, 05, 24 and 30. The Gold Mega Ball was 01, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.
In addition, one ticket was sold that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball winning the $5,000 third-tier prize. If that ticket had been purchased with the Megaplier option, it would have multiplied the prize to $15,000.
That winning ticket was purchased at Adonni, 164 Irvine Turner Blvd., Newark in Essex County.
In addition, 51 tickets sold matched the four white balls winning $500 each. Five of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,500.
Moreover, 53,942 other New Jersey players took home $112,319 in prizes ranging from $1 to $150, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
