This week a TSA agent accused of stealing a $1,000 watch from a passenger's bag was arrested this week, officials confirmed today.
Witnesses reported seeing, on duty as a Transportation Security Administration officer, Daniel Ortiz, Jr., 39, remove the watch from a passenger's bag during the screening process, and place it into his pocket Tuesday sometime around 4:30 p.m.
A further investigation led to the recovery of the Michele Deco watch worth approximately $1,000 from Ortiz's pant pocket.
Ortiz was arrested and expected to appear in court on March 2.
