There were severe injuries reported in a crash that caused a truck to overturn on a NJ highway Tuesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, NJ State Police were called to the southbound lanes of the NJ Turnpike near exit 13A to investigate reports of a crash at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene found that a truck apparently collided with a vehicle that provided highway construction material.
The impact of the crash caused the truck to overturned on the shoulder of the highway, according to police.
NJ State Police closed the right and center lanes for the cleanup and investigation into the cause of the crash.
One person was transported to the hospital suffering leg injuries.
