Police in Newark are currently searching for a suspect involved in a stabbing incident that left three people injured at a McDonald's restaurant in the East Ward on Wednesday evening.According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage, the incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. at the McDonald’s located at 569 McCarter Highway.
Upon arrival, police discovered two adult females and one adult male with stab wounds.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the stabbings occurred following an altercation with a male suspect.
The victims were quickly transported to University Hospital, where they are all reported to be in stable condition.The incident is still under active investigation, with authorities working to identify and apprehend the suspect.
As of now, no additional information has been released regarding the motive or the circumstances leading up to the altercation.
The Newark Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
