Paterson Police are investigating the motive behind a shooting that injured three victims early Saturday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation by police, shortly before 12:35 a.m., officers responded to multiple rounds of gunfire that rang out in the vicinity of 463 Grand Street.
Officer arrived at the scene and found a male victim struck by bullets and shell casings on the ground at that location.
While police were canvassing the area for evidence, officials at St. Joseph’s Medical Center notified authorities when two victims entered the emergency room suffering bullet wounds.
Police say the condition of the victims is non-life threatening.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has been notified to assist in the investigation.
