A 25-year-old Trenton woman has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend to death last night, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.
According to authorities, at approximately 4:15 p.m. on March 6, Trenton police responded to a 911 call for a man stabbed on the 300 block of Clearfield Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim - identified as 35-year-old Christopher Johnson of South Brunswick, inside of the apartment along with his girlfriend - later identified as Briann Lindsey, of Trenton.
Trenton EMS arrived on the scene, however, Johnson was pronounced dead a short time later.
An investigation revealed that Johnson was stabbed in the kitchen area of the residence and collapsed in the hallway.
The investigation also revealed that Lindsey attempted to clean up the crime scene prior to police arrival.
She has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
