Trenton Police are currently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred early Sunday morning, leaving a male victim injured.
The incident occurred around 1:55 a.m. in the 500 block of Hamilton Avenue.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the victim suffering from a stab wound to his back.
He was promptly transported to an area hospital for treatment, and authorities have confirmed that he is expected to recover from his injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident took place when several suspects approached the victim, allegedly with the intent to commit a robbery.
Reportedly, the men assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene. Police focused their attention on the Anderson Street side of Triangle Park, where they believe the altercation occurred.
As of now, the assailants remain at large, and law enforcement officials are continuing their efforts to apprehend them.
