Trenton police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a shots-fired incident that occurred Saturday evening in one of the city’s neighborhoods.

Authorities say the gunfire erupted around 6 p.m. in the area of 166 Oakland Street.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after a ShotSpotter device detected multiple rounds fired near the address.
Upon arrival, police located several shell casings and quickly taped off the area to conduct a thorough investigation. Despite the gunfire, no injuries were reported.
Witnesses at the scene told officers they saw a Black male wearing a ski mask fleeing the area immediately after the shots were fired.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the suspect is still at large.
Trenton Police continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to come forward.
