Trenton Man Charged with September Homicide

A Trenton man has been arrested and charged in the September 17, 2017, homicide of 51-year-old Tyrone King, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

Police have charged Wade J. Williams, 42, of West State Street, with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

According to police, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on September 17, Trenton police responded to multiple calls of shots fired on the 900 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police found King lying on the floor of a deli. He was unresponsive and bleeding from a gunshot wound to his chest.

EMS transported King to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he died a short time later authorities said.

Members of the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Mercer County Homicide Task Force arrested Williams early Tuesday morning at his residence.

The prosecutor’s office will be filing a motion to have him detained.

Despite having been charged, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
