A pedestrian strike claimed a life in Waterford early Thursday morning.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of the investigation into this fatal accident.
The incident occurred at around 2:10 a.m. when police were called to the intersection of White Horse Pike and Whispering Pines Drive.
Initial reports indicated that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, responders found the victim severely injured lying on the ground.
Despite immediate medical attention, the victim's injuries proved fatal, and they were pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
In response to the tragedy, Waterford Police temporarily closed the intersection to conduct a thorough investigation, aiming to determine the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
