In the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, tragedy struck the neighborhood of Mravlag Manor as Elizabeth Police Officers responded to a chilling report of shots fired.
Upon their arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of 30-year-old Ms. Victoria Myers, a resident of Elizabeth, who had been brutally shot multiple times.
The shocking incident has left the community in shock and mourning as they grapple with the loss of a young woman.
Authorities have identified the suspect as 30-year-old Mr. Gerard Manning, also a resident of Elizabeth, who now faces a slew of serious charges, including first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said Manning is currently on the run, and law enforcement agencies are actively searching for him.
This heart-wrenching case is far from being closed, as it remains an ongoing and active investigation.
Law enforcement agencies are urging anyone with information related to this matter to come forward and assist in bringing justice to the victim and her grieving family.
