A vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 21 has emergency responders on the scene of the crash that occurred early this morning.
The crash happened on Rt. 21 near the Rt. 3 in Clifton shortly before 5:15 a.m. when a driver began to travel in the wrong lanes and slammed head-on into another vehicle at that location.
Fast operating firefighters and rescue crews were able to extricate one trapped person out of a vehicle then hand them over to EMS who made the transport to St. Joseph's Hospital according to reports.
The victim's injuries were reported as non-life threatening.
The crash detoured all Rt. 21 northbound lanes onto Rt. 3 while authorities conducted the crash investigation.
