There is an active investigation underway on a highway in Union County as police closed a portion of the road Thursday evening.
According to preliminary reports, a pedestrian was struck by a car in the vicinity of Bloy (Long Avenue) and Route 22 East at around 6:10 p.m.
Witnesses said they observed emergency responders perform CPR on an unidentified person lying in the roadway.
Police have detours in place while they conduct the investigation.
