Police have all eastbound lanes on Route 22 closed due to a crash that has serious injuries reported at this time.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the eastbound lanes of Route 22 near Route 1&9 in Newark to investigate a crash that occurred at 12 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene found two people out of the vehicles suffering serious injuries as a result of the collision that involved two vehicles according to police.
Both victims were transported to area hospital for treatment while police stayed at the scene to investigate the cause of the crash.
