NJ State Police officials are investigating a crash that involved a tractor-trailer and a car on an NJ highway Sunday afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened just before 2:40 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-78 at Vaux Hall Road in Union where a truck and a taxi cab collided causing a fiery crash.
The truck overturned causing state police to shut both the express and local lanes.
All lanes remained closed on the west side as of 4 p.m. The Garden State Parkway ramp to Route 78, at Exit 142B, was also closed.
There are no official reports of injuries at this time.
