Emergency responders in Toms River extricated the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision on Monday morning.
According to police, at approximately 2 a.m., police found a car crashed into a pole near the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Church Road.
Firefighters used caution after identifying downed power lines at the scene, police said.
The victim was eventually extricated then rushed to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the collision caused some sporadic power outages in the area and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
